For the past 16 years the Northport-Omena Chamber of Commerce has participated in the Adopt-A-Highway clean-up program coordinated around the state by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).

This year the Northport clean-up will take place on Saturday, April 13th weather permitting; the back-up date will be Sunday April 14th.

There are two clean-up routes. 1) from the blinker to Casperson Rd; 2) from the blinker to Johnson Rd. Typically it takes less than an hour to complete the work.

Volunteers will meet at the Covenant Church parking lot at 9am, rain or shine
(except for thunderstorms). Garbage bags and safety vests will be provided; it is recommended that volunteers wear gloves and comfy shoes.
